Local MSL
The five regions
At the 2001 National Conference in Cambridge, it was decided to reorganise the regional structure within which MSL worked. We now have five regions, which can be defined as containing the following counties/districts :
- Scotland
- Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, Highland, Grampian, Tayside, Strathclyde, Central, Dumfries & Galloway, Lothian, Borders.
- North
- Northumberland, Cumbria, Durham, Tyne & Wear, Cleveland, North Yorkshire, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Humberside, South Yorkshire, Isle of Man, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester.
- Midlands
- Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warickshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Licolnshire.
- South East
- Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Greater London, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent.
- Wales and the West Country
- Gwynedd, Clwyd, Dyfed, Powys, Gwent, Mid Glamorgan, South Glamorgan, Hereford & Wocester, Avon, Gloucesetershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall.
